11. Overseas disclosure and processing

Princess Attitude operates an online business and may use suppliers and technology providers located outside Australia.

As a result, personal information may be disclosed to, accessed from or processed in other countries.

Depending on the service providers and suppliers being used at the relevant time, these countries may include:

  • Australia;
  • the United States;
  • countries within the European Union or European Economic Area; and
  • countries in which our product suppliers, technology providers, logistics providers or other service providers operate.

The exact locations may change as our service providers and infrastructure change.

Where Australian privacy laws relating to overseas disclosures apply, we will take reasonable steps required by those laws in connection with the disclosure of personal information to overseas recipients.

12. Third-party websites and platforms

Our website may contain links to websites, social media services or services operated by third parties.

Those third parties may have their own privacy policies and information-handling practices.

Princess Attitude is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party websites or platforms merely because our website contains a link to them.

We recommend reviewing the relevant third party’s privacy policy before providing personal information.

13. Social media

If you interact with Princess Attitude through a social media platform, both Princess Attitude and the operator of that platform may receive information concerning your interaction.

Information handled by the social media operator is subject to that operator’s privacy practices.

Information received and held by Princess Attitude will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

14. Security of personal information

We take reasonable steps appropriate to our business and the nature of the information we hold to protect personal information against:

  • misuse;

Princess Attitude maintains processes for responding to suspected loss of or unauthorised access to personal information.

Where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act applies and a data breach is assessed as requiring notification, we will take the steps required by applicable law, which may include notifying affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

We may also take other appropriate actions to contain, investigate and remediate a security incident.

16. How long we keep personal information

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet legitimate business, accounting, taxation, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution and legal obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information.

When personal information is no longer reasonably required and we are not legally required to retain it, we will take reasonable steps to destroy it or permanently de-identify it where required by applicable privacy law.

Information contained in backups may remain for a limited period until the relevant backup is overwritten or securely deleted.

17. Accessing your personal information

You may request access to personal information Princess Attitude holds about you.

To protect your privacy, we may ask you to verify your identity before providing access.

In some circumstances, applicable law permits or requires us to refuse access to some information. Where required, we will explain the reason for refusing a request.

We will respond to access requests within a reasonable period.

18. Correcting your personal information

We aim to keep the personal information we hold accurate, current, complete and relevant.

You may ask us to correct personal information that you believe is:

  • inaccurate;
  • out of date;
  • incomplete;
  • irrelevant; or
  • misleading.

Some account information may also be updated directly through your customer account.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the requested correction.

19. Deleting information and closing accounts

You may contact us to request deletion of personal information or closure of an account.

We will consider requests in accordance with applicable law.

We may need to retain certain information despite a deletion request where reasonably necessary for matters including:

  • legal compliance;
  • taxation or accounting records;
  • transaction records;
  • fraud prevention;
  • chargebacks;
  • dispute resolution; and
  • establishment or defence of legal claims.

Where information must be retained, we may restrict its use to the purpose for which retention is required.

20. Children

Princess Attitude’s online store is intended primarily for customers who are able to enter into online purchasing transactions.

We do not knowingly seek to collect unnecessary personal information from children.

Where a person is not legally capable of entering into a transaction independently, involvement of a parent or guardian may be required.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, please contact us.

  • website security;
  • customer-service assistance;
  • marketing analysis; and
  • operational administration.

These systems may process information about customer activity depending on their purpose.

We will review our automated information-handling practices as Australian privacy requirements develop.

From 10 December 2026, additional Australian Privacy Principle requirements concerning certain automated decisions that could reasonably be expected to significantly affect an individual’s rights or interests may apply to organisations covered by those provisions.

Where those requirements apply to Princess Attitude’s activities, this Privacy Policy will be updated as necessary to explain the relevant automated decision-making practices.

22. Privacy complaints

If you believe Princess Attitude has not handled your personal information appropriately, please contact our Privacy Officer.

Your complaint should provide sufficient information for us to understand:

  • what happened;
  • when it occurred;
  • what personal information was affected;
  • why you are concerned; and
  • the outcome you are seeking.

We will investigate privacy complaints fairly and aim to respond within 30 days.

If additional time is reasonably required, we may contact you to explain the circumstances.

If you are not satisfied with our response, or we have not responded within a reasonable period, you may be entitled to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

UK privacy information (customers in the United Kingdom)

Effective 20 October 2026. This UK section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy. Where UK GDPR or the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations apply, this section explains the additional rules for UK customers and UK website visitors. Princess Attitude Pty Ltd, an Australian company, is the data controller for the processing described here. For privacy enquiries and rights requests, contact us through the contact details published in this Privacy Policy.

Purposes and UK GDPR lawful bases

We process names, contact information, billing and delivery details, order details and relevant customer correspondence to fulfil orders, provide accounts, deal with returns and refunds and respond to service enquiries. The usual lawful basis is performance of a contract, or taking steps you request before entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).

We retain appropriate transaction and financial records to meet applicable accounting, tax and other legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). We also process necessary technical, security and fraud-prevention information to protect the website, accounts and transactions, address misuse and defend legal claims where our legitimate interests (or, where applicable, another lawful basis) support that processing (Article 6(1)(f)). Legitimate interests are balanced against individuals’ rights and freedoms.

Where optional analytics or advertising technologies require permission, including Meta Pixel and advertising-related Conversions API activity, we seek consent before using those technologies for UK visitors (Article 6(1)(a) and applicable UK electronic-privacy rules). Marketing emails are sent only when permitted under applicable direct-marketing rules. You may refuse optional cookies without losing access to ordinary shopping functions, and may withdraw consent using the UK Cookie settings control. Consent withdrawal does not invalidate processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Who receives personal data

To operate our UK store we disclose relevant information, as needed, to our ecommerce and website service providers (including WordPress.com/Automattic and WooCommerce), our database and infrastructure provider (Supabase), payment processors, professional advisers, fraud-prevention and security providers, customer-service and email providers, product suppliers, fulfilment partners, and delivery couriers. Meta may receive advertising-related event data only where the applicable UK consent requirements have been satisfied. Each recipient receives only the information needed for its function, subject to appropriate contractual and security controls where required. The precise recipients for a particular transaction depend on its payment, fulfilment and service arrangements.

International processing and safeguards

Princess Attitude operates from Australia, and customer information may be accessed or processed in Australia and in other countries where relevant providers, fulfilment partners or subcontractors operate. UK GDPR rules on restricted transfers apply where their legal conditions are met, including transfers to separate overseas organisations. Where a restricted transfer is not covered by UK adequacy regulations or another lawful exception, we must use a valid transfer safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to approved EU standard contractual clauses, with any required transfer risk assessment and supplementary measures. A customer’s direct disclosure of information to our Australian business is not automatically a restricted transfer under these rules. We will provide information about applicable safeguards on request; this statement does not claim every provider transfer arrangement has already been verified.

Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for its purpose, applicable statutory retention duties, legitimate dispute or security needs and any legal hold. Accounting, tax and transaction records are generally maintained for the applicable statutory record-keeping period, which may be seven years for relevant Australian company records; a different period may apply to particular records or circumstances. Account information is normally held while the account remains in use and then assessed for deletion or de-identification, subject to records needed for transactions or claims. Enquiries, fraud records and technical logs are retained in accordance with operational necessity, applicable service-provider settings and legal requirements; no uniform numerical period applies to every system. The UK cookie-choice cookie is configured to last up to 180 days unless replaced or cleared earlier. Other cookie and log lifespans require the live cookie inventory and provider-specific verification. We erase or de-identify records when the applicable retention reason expires, subject to technical backup schedules and legal restrictions.

Your UK privacy rights

Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing, including direct marketing and processing based on legitimate interests. You may also withdraw consent at any time. Rights concerning decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling, apply where the statutory conditions are met. We do not intend to make legally significant decisions about customers solely by automated means as part of ordinary product browsing and checkout. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we normally respond to valid UK GDPR rights requests within one month, subject to lawful extensions. Exercising rights is generally free of charge, subject to statutory exceptions.

Complaints and regulator

If you have a privacy concern, please contact Princess Attitude using the contact details in this Privacy Policy so that we can investigate. UK individuals also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), http://www.ico.org.uk. You do not have to contact us before complaining to the ICO.

UK representative

Princess Attitude is established outside the UK. We are assessing the UK GDPR Article 27 requirement to designate a representative in the United Kingdom. The limited exemption for occasional, low-risk processing may not apply to a business regularly offering products to UK customers. No representative’s identity, address or contact details are stated here because an appointment has not yet been verified. Our controller contact details above remain available for privacy requests; they do not substitute for a required UK representative. We will update this notice with verified representative details when an appointment is completed.

Cookie choices and policy updates

For UK visits, our cookie banner offers Accept all, Reject optional and Manage preferences, including separate optional analytics and advertising categories. Strictly necessary shopping-cart, checkout, account and security technologies remain available. You can revisit Cookie settings on UK storefront pages. We may update this notice when services, legal requirements or verified processing arrangements change.

UK cookie and tracking technology register

Reviewed 20 October 2026. This register lists cookies and similar technologies identified from our current WordPress and Meta consent configuration, the live UK page markup and relevant provider documentation. “Conditional” means a technology may only be set when its feature is used. A listed provider technology is not a claim that every cookie has been independently observed in a clean browser session.

Meta advertising and optional analytics should remain disabled until the relevant UK consent category is chosen. UK visitors can choose Accept all, Reject optional or Manage preferences, and can change their decision using Cookie settings on UK storefront pages. Necessary shopping, authentication, checkout and security functionality remains available without optional advertising consent.

Technical verification outstanding: Exact first- and third-party cookie names, actual expiry attributes and browser-storage keys must still be checked across first visit, rejection, acceptance, withdrawal and a complete UK payment journey. In particular, payment-provider and WordPress.com performance telemetry behaviour requires vendor/browser verification. This is a maintained inventory, not certification that every possible technology is exhaustively listed. For privacy requests and complaints, see the UK privacy section above.

Live cookie audit findings — 20 October 2026

In a UK browser-local test conducted before an optional-consent decision, the following readable cookie names were observed: _fbp, _hcp, pa_uk_market_context_v1, sc_current_currency, wc_facebook_signals_state, and WooCommerce order attribution cookies sbjs_current, sbjs_current_add, sbjs_first, sbjs_first_add, sbjs_migrations, sbjs_session, sbjs_udata. Following rejection, pa_uk_consent_v1 was also observed, and a WooCommerce cart hash appeared in local storage. This records cookies observed in that browser session; it does not prove that the site set every cookie for the first time on that visit.

Attribution cookies: The seven sbjs_* cookies are associated with WooCommerce order attribution (source/referrer and campaign details, page-view counts, and device-related information). WooCommerce documents a 30-minute default expiry for sbjs_session and session expiry for the remaining attribution cookies. These are used for marketing-origin reporting when an order is placed. Their legal classification and pre-consent operation remain under technical review.

Meta and security-related cookies: The _fbp cookie is associated with Meta advertising measurement (a commonly documented lifetime is around 90 days, subject to actual browser/provider settings). Its presence before consent was observed and is under investigation; we do not rely on this notice as permission to use advertising tracking before consent. The provider, purpose and expiry of _hcp have not yet been definitively confirmed; it may be associated with hosting security controls. sc_current_currency is associated with the store’s currency selection; its precise expiry must be verified in-browser.

Resource inspection: The sample of resource domains observed before consent and after rejecting optional cookies included princessattitude.com, fonts-api.wp.com and i0.wp.com. No Meta advertising request domain was listed by this limited browser diagnostic. This does not replace an independent browser network and cookie-expiration audit, particularly for checkout, payment providers, cached pages and third-party/HttpOnly cookies. You can change optional consent preferences using the UK Cookie settings control.
